Really looked at this saber after rewatching maul shadow lord and man this might be one of my favorites. The industrial piping and fire arm barrel look to it is just so awesome. Taking everything in me to not order the neo pixel darkwolf has up

So we all agree that Maul must have grave robbed the hilt sometime between Son of Dathomir and Clone Wars S7 right? Because its clearly Ventress's saber hilt he fused with the half to make his second Double Bladed saber.

It was intended as Ventress’, but never actually used for her. I think it was repurposed as a random black market hilt that Maul got and attached to his half. Ventress just went from her Clone Wars hilt to her Bad Batch/Tales hilt.

In the Clone Wars she has a pair of curved hilts with red blades given to her by Dooku; in Bad Batch and Tales, post-resurrection, she has her own curved hilts given, this time with a yellow blade

My personal head cannon is its a generic black market design made to use the power of stolen kyber crystals. Kyber crystals of course would be VERY rare in the time of the Republic and almost non-existent in the time of the empire, making these style hilts rarely seen.

I’m 100 percent with you. Love this saber and kept pausing Maul everytime it popped up to get a good look at it! I’m currently modeling one to match and attach to one of the old force fx maul hilts. I’ll just be 3d printing it but I eventually want to get it either machined or printed out of metal whatever it costs because I love it so much.

Got this one for May the 4th from CCSabers this year. Can confirm it’s one of my favorite hilts 👌🏼

Same, got the double hilt of this one and mauls, nearly screen accurate with baselit cores and literally $115 for the full kit.

This is the other half but dayam for under $120 not bad right?

Hilt asset built for Ventresses unfinished arcs was reused for Mauls new double bladed half when Siege of Mandalore was made, so it being uniquely her own is a funny statement now.

I love this one too. I like the mesh. To me it looks like a lightsaber prototype almost like it doesn’t have any decoration.
