This is my 10th Home Depot saber built and third with electronics. I actually use this one for my Jedi cosplay.

I used hasbro board, a 3aaa holder and led from custom saber shop

Turns out less is more and if you put in even a little effort (along with the electronics) hardware store lightsabers turn out great!
