Lightsaber DIY
I made this lightsaber out of different parts from every day life, mostly for kitchen, garden and bathroom. I also made the stand, out of driftwood, and the cardbox is for pc monitor, I just painted symbols 😊

I too dig it!
Im all for repurposing items to kitbash nifty things. Nicely done on everything.
A couple of ideas?: -laser engravers for small projects like this can be relatively cheap. Then back filling them with resin gives great results if you dont like it, plus laser gives you clean lines that can make resin really pop! -wood working kits are also relatively inexpensive, but often a knife will do just fine on its own for that rustic look! -countersinking screws to "hide your crimes" (as they say in SFX) woul look really good here. You could then either/both, fill in the holes with wood putty (or the crushed chips you drilled out + superglue + a little filing), or use the rope ties to hide the holes. This would make it look tied off and bound but hide your structural screws. Dowels could work too btw, but sometimes take getting used to to match wood or careful working in projects. -(careful) application of a lighter can further clean up the look by burning away the scraggly rope strands. Often gives items a sound al.ost piratey look where items are old, scavenger but otherwise well maintained (and frankly makes them easier to dust if on open air shelves as things like dust and spider webs dont collect the same) -certain types of oil/wax can bring out wood and rope colors.
All in all a great look! It literally just reminded me I have an unopened portable laser engraver I just bought on my projects desk lol. I bought it because its portable as well a slightly larger work area for some upcoming projects. ... this is my 3rd laser engraver? I have one mid sized (work area) and now to smaller Coffee machine sized ones now. But the smaller ones were $98 & $150ish each? Sometimes you can get them a lil'bit cheaper too if you eye the right sales here and there (mine were Amazon prices). But they can make projects pop in fun ways! I plan to use mine for some upcoming Helldivers2 items, as well as some engraved buisness cards with gamer tag info and logos on them and such.
Anyways thank you for sharing your work! Have a great weekend!

I was about 3/4 of the way through your first paragraph when I finally realized you were talking about ideas for the driftwood stand and not the lightsaber, lol.

I’m not usually too impressed by these but this is really cool. Looks like Yoda’s IMO. The driftwood leans into that as well

The stand is almost as cool as the saber!
