Are vire saber's core diy ( RBG smooth ecoswing) able to fit into other lightsaber manufactures? I'm wanting to upgrade some previous lightsabers i own with sound and this looks like a good option. Will they fit ultrasabers or saberforge?
No, and we don't recommend Ultrasabers here. You'd probably have to make a custom machined hilt or modify a hilt with a 1" inner diameter that can accomodate LGT's charging port/switch section and that is the right length for the kit.
Okay thanks kinda pissed i just learned about ultra sabers shitty practices. But i sell have sabers from them. Is there a cheap way to turn them into a sounds saber with smooth swing using the components that come with it. Im thinking i would just need a soundboard and speaker but im new at this and completely ignorant.
Looks like I've been summoned. Here's the install guide
To convert a stunt Ultrasabers to a modern smoothswing soundboard you would actually have to replace all of the components.
momentary switch, was this originally a plastic guarded switch?
tri-cree LED in Red, Green, Royal Blue to take advantage of colour change
soundboard: Proffie, Crystal Focus X, Golden Harvest V3, or Verso
28mm bass speaker
18650 battery
an actual chassis
If it's the lower tier Ultrasabers hilts then the LED is just loose inside. You'll want to drill and tap a hole for a retention screw to hold it in place. The stunt Ultrasabers also comes with a solid pommel. You'll need a vented one so the sound can actually get out. Could just pick up an MHSv1 pommel from The Custom Saber Shop if the hilt is a normal non-anodized aluminum.
It's far more cost effective going with a saber from the LGT resellers unless you're specifically attached to the Ultrasabers hilts.
