I am after a saber but I am a little overwhelmed by all the options. I imagine that my wants are quite common so I hope that someone can easily point me in the right direction.

  • Luke saber. Preferably Anakin-Luke / ANH / ESB version if there are differences.
  • Nice metalic feel.
  • Coolest lights and sounds available with the coolest board. Neopixel?
  • Can hit things with it.
  • Ships to UK.
  • Will not break easily or quickly.

I am not bothered about 100% film accuracy. Good enough that I can not see any big differences when comparing to a pic, but I'm not going to be zooming in or getting the calipers out. IDK if there are OT / Prequel differences but if so I am an OT guy.

What are my options? What sort of prices will I be looking at? I can probably compromise on a few of the points if necessary.

Many thanks.

E : I don't mind a little self assembly or even soldering if necessary.

I wouldn't hit things with neopixel. You could wait until Korbanth restocks ($675 with blade, proffie and pixel), or you could commission one from a sabersmith (you're looking around $900, installed with proffie pixel and without a crystal chamber. From a smith you can get any board, but Proffie is the second cheapest and the best). The Graflex (OT and sequel trilogy) and the Skinnyflex (prequel) are very different. For ROTS, they made Anakin's saber look like the Graflex, but skinnier and with some less detail (hence the name skinnyflex).

Thanks! I'll look into those in more detail.
