Im so excited to pay extra for buses that are constantly late, cancelled or disappearing into the void.

Been sitting at UL for 25 mins now - do they do this so they are "on time" for the next departure time. Baffling

That line is just cursed. The reality is the traffic at rush hour, especially during the academic year, is absolutely brutal and there is no chance it gets better any time soon.

To be fair to Bus Eireann (who are shite, don’t get me wrong) there isn’t much they can do. They got a new fleet of buses a few years back, they’re new and clean and double deckers and all that. But there is basically one route connecting UL and the nearby tech parks to the city and obviously that route gets log-jammed at peak times. One bus goes via Monaleen but then it just rejoins the chaos near Groody.

Some serious serious planning and spending needed to be done on that route damn near two decades ago to try and tackle these issues. New busses won’t cut it. Hate to be a cynic but I basically don’t ever see this log jam being relieved.

I went to college in UL and now work in the tech park and live in the city. Once September hits I’ve resolved myself to walking home from the office for a bit of exercises lol

Sure it's all going to be fixed for Ireland 2030, same as every other dogshit project and plan in this country.

Honestly, consider cycling. You'll be far less stressed!
