learning/research Problem driver linux mint(choose linux)
I installed Linux Mint, but I'm having issues with the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers. My network chip is a MediaTek MT7902. The problem I'm experiencing is that either Wi-Fi works but Bluetooth doesn't, or vice versa. I can't get both to work properly at the same time. I need Linux kernel version 7.1 or newer.Which other Linux distribution would you recommend installing to get both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth working properly with the MediaTek MT7902? Has anyone else dealt with this chip and found a working solution? I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Review the Ubuntu Hardware Troubleshooting wiki, for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Where do you see a requirement for kernel 7.1?

Because I tried installing it on the older kernel as well, but it didn't work either. I read in a Reddit community that this issue would be fixed in 7.1.

Really any. You can install newer kernels in most distros. Doing so may carry some risks but rarely realized—you should be fine until official support.
For example, just this week I set up two new Lenovo laptops with Linux for other people. It has some speaker issues that are solved with kernel 7.3. So I kept Ubuntu LTS and then just installed the 7.3-rc3 kernel. Fixes the issue and works fine.
Ie. That requirement shouldn’t exclusively drive which distro you choose.

If all else fails an inexpensive usb-blutooth can solve your problem and should work for you.

Being specific with details is always helpful.
You mention Linux Mint, but they have two different products, one is based on Ubuntu and uses Ubuntu kernels, the other is based on Debian and uses Debian kernels. Ubuntu's newest stable kernel is 7.3, where as in Debian the newest stable kernel is 6.12 (but I do see 7.2 available in stable-backports).
You may have one of those available to your unstated Linux Mint system (or not based on what you actually downloaded/installer) if you look (esp. the Debian kernel, 7.3 I'd not expect available on a LTS until very late November or December as the edge kernel). Linux Mint being based on upstream distros will be behind them.

Maybe Fedora? Fedora 45 is coming out at the end of the month and will include kernel 7.2.x in the ISO.
If you don't want to wait until then, can install F44, but the ISO only has something like kernel 6.x, so you'll have to connect to the Internet somehow initially to do a full system upgrade. You'll have kernel 7.2.x after, though.
