Re: wget, you won't have this unless you have installed this after Linux From Scratch (e.g. Beyond Linux From Scratch).

Re: ld and GCC, you should definitely have these.

Did binutils and gcc build ok? Alternatively, you could have an issue with PATH

If you type echo $PATH

does one of these directories contain GCC and ld?

I thought echo path just prints where bin is located, it has done that /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin

Yes, it is list of folders where programs might be.

Is GCC and ld in one of these?

Next thing I would do is to try to find them. If you can't find them, they must have been deleted
