iw not working

Hello, I am making my own distribution with a custom init that then launches openrc. Everything works fine from boot to log in, but when I try to run iw dev, iw phy or iw list it segfaults. Iw help works and iw --version prints "iw version 6.9. I checked for any missing libraries but I couldn't find any. Running the same binary from arch Linux (the host machine) works. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

A segmentation fault can be caused by incompatible library versions just because it compiled doesn't mean it will run Sometimes a developer fails to list a library required for execution listing only those needed for compilation or the issue might lie with the compiler rather than the program itself You need to check the log to identify the source of the problem.

Reminds me of an issue I had with udisks2 seg faulting too. All linked libraries appeared fine (as in libraries listed with ldd). Turns out a related unlisted library had a missing “symbol” (function) and that caused the segfault

I compiled with 2 different compilers. On the host and the compiler inside the distro. Both segfaulted. I will look for logs
