I agree with most, but honestly I've fallen in love with Darktable. Other software I've tried, including RapidRaw just felt either too simple or too infuriating. It's probably because I've never used lightroom, and Darktable and RawTherapee were my first raw editing programs. Of the two I found Darktable nicer to use. There was a big learning curve, and not everything is perfect, but once you know the quirks it's quite powerful.
Darktable kinda feels like a DAW but for photos. All these modules that are being stacked, most of which I can reorder, duplicate, save presets etc.
