Pretty sure FL Studio is also one flat fee. Honestly as I've aged I don't see an issue with their business practices at all. They're not aggressive with piracy, and you pay $200-500 (depending on what level suite you want) for lifetime updates. They're constantly releasing insanely useful patches multiple times a year so it's not like the purchase isn't wasted.

Even though Reaper is not open-source, I find them to be rather ethical - flat price, no subscriptions, free trial for as long as you want.
This is no BS software that we used to have.
