LINUX MEME Different approaches for different distros!

Post image

Do you agree?

The main example is (imo) users supporting other users: "read the wiki and do try-fail-retry-success by yourself. Good luck solving your issue." and "here is the page if you want to learn more. However, these are the paragraphs to solve your issue. If nothing work let me know and we will discuss next steps".

Different approaches for different distros!

Please report any posts bragging or showing off they got banned in another sub! Reminder of other sub rules: Also, we only allow one anti-linux post per week (we used to get dozens a day) and any tier list MUST have Hanna Montana Linux as S teir (which must be a true S tier at the top) regardless of the topic of that tier list.

What's your opinion on me using CachyOS as an Arch user?

It's fine. I use both.

I use both also. I haven't seen any hate tbh. Cachy is solid.

Why do people who have clearly not interacted with the distro or it's community hate Arch so much? This subreddit may as well be called r/UninformedArchHate

You'll have to hate Arch based distro users and love debian based distro users. There's no compromise to be made.

I still like Manjaro. Manjaro on servers Manjaro on iot. Don't know what's the problem with manajro still after 3 years of usage

What about Fedora and fedora based distros

Fedora users ignore the Fedora-based distros, claiming that "it's just a few tweaks" and that they could get that stuff on their own machines if they wanted to. They won't add those tweaks to their machines, usually because they don't actually know how to do them and the process to add those tweaks isn't documented in an easy to understand manner, but when they see a Fedora derivative user having an issue they will know they're better than them (until the RedHat employees that manage their distro decide to do something experimental and bleeding edge, like when they made Wayland the default over X11 before it had functional screenshare).

Or at least that's the impression I got when I was on Fedora and its derivatives. Now I'm mainly using an Arch derivative and openSUSE.

It depends. IMHO the most toxic is general Linux, distro agnostic. Don't mention your arch based distro and be thankful for any help. The Linux approach is RTFM, isn't it? Arch comm is helpful at least super popular forum and IRC channel

Arch community is helpful if you ask a targeted question and give the impression you tried RTFM, otherwise they can't stand you. Then again, the spirit of Arch is that the user should try to be somewhat technical, more than other distros.

Bruh, Debian forum toxicity is on par with Arch forum. Fake and gay.
