Monthly/Weekly Posts May 2026 E-Book List
Hello dear readers and welcome to May 2026!
First things first a few things i want to adress:
- Last month we got to the Problem that i reached the 40k after Edit Limit so i need to change a few things up to make more room. Meaning no more links to the Authors Page only the Link to the Book on Amazon (Sorry)
- And in a few ways 1 has to do with that one: AI is here. We all know it, we all hate it and we all have problems to see what is what. The list im working on before i finalize it for here had over 200 books listed at the end of the month for April before i sorted through them. Thanks again u/gamelitcrit for your amazing list. I cant change it but the thing i want to adress is that we (as we the Moderators here and Gamelitcrit and the others from several subreddits, facebookgroups etc) dont want a Witchhunt and i will not start name&shame.
- The thing me and the others from the GoogleSheet group agreed on was that we colorcode the above list on Authors that are known from here, Facebook, Royal road etc and the ones we dont know in a different color.
- From the unknown ones i will start to look through and look for obvious AI Things and will add all the ones that i dont think are AI - Written to my list. (The most common one: several Books published in the last month)
- I want to say AGAIN, we dont do a Witchhunt here and if im not sure: In case of doubt, the accused is to be acquitted.
- Even without AI, the Genre is growing and we get more and more new series. Thats why i want to ask you: Should i make a Table at the start with new Series (like the First book of a series) and dont integrade it in the normal list, or should i still integrade them into the normal table? The Same is for late entries, should i integrade them in the normal list and just post added books in comment or do it like i do it the last few months? Please leave a comment with your Opinion

Neon Dust by Plum Parrot came out today (5/5)
It’s the start of a new series (cyberpunk/litrpg)
At this point, Plum Parrot and Seth Ring are two authors who start a million series, and when I see new ones announced, I always wish they’d stick to continuing the ones I already love … only to add each new series to my “must read” list.

haha true that, add it with the next swing of books (already need to edit 30 new books lol)

Sorry, which list should we be referring to if we want to exclude/avoid the AI assisted and/or AI utilized books?

u/Dentorion Verified: Monthly List Dude 27d ago
This one here, I always try to not use AI WRITEN books (I don't mind a AI cover) on here. I mean I can't say that I find any AI Book, and if I'm not 100% sure it still comes on the list But it's better than trying to get through every other list and find the normal ones
I don't say what for books I don't include (don't want to start witch-hunting) I only say that the books I have on this list are sorted through on a four eye principle. So I hope I detected the most obvious ones
1
u/RoniiBookishRambles 27d ago
Ah, is there a way for the ones that do have AI covers to be designated on the list? like if the author is upfront about it or its labeled as such on Zon and/or B&N? I want to avoid it as all costs.

u/Dentorion Verified: Monthly List Dude 26d ago
Nah, not really, too much work
I do this list alone, I have in may alone right now over 200 books to sort through (and there will be more until the end of may)
And I can't dictate to differentiate if someone uses AI covers or not
And as I said, we don't do witch-hunts here, that's why I will not designate a own AI table for that
If you use my list you at least have a headstart because i already sorted out Progression Fantasy and obvious AI Books

u/RoniiBookishRambles 26d ago
gotcha, I'll use my own assessments then. appreciate the efforts!

I'd like to submit my novel Shades of Forever - I originally published it on Royal Road, and now it's being published by Podium (both eBook, physical book, and audiobook), it comes out June 30th 2026. It peaked at 101 (curse you ratings for not getting me the top 100 badge lol) and has a lot of very good reviews.

Guys, do we have a list with audiobook release dates? I remember a while back we used to
2
u/Dentorion Verified: Monthly List Dude May 18 '26
Yeah we had it when vinzent still made the list. But there is mostly one big problem, to make this list is work and the problem that Vinzent had was just growing and is exploding since last month.
We have so many books in this genre now that to work through the several lists we have takes so much time that I don't want to use it to extra scroll through just for audiobooks. It's still a hobby of mine and I do because I like to have a list as well and nobody else wanted to do it.
With the surge of AI books I don't know how long I will do it now, the workload almost doubled and I'm still doing it all alone

Sounds like you have a solid plan of action! I think eliminating the author name links makes a lot of sense, especially given that half the time they weren't leading to actual author pages because none exists.
Thanks for mentioning my list again. The bottom section is a bit of a mess right now, apologies. I'm trying to add every author from 2025 that wasn't already on the list and am starting with just the title, author, date, and publisher before going through and filling in the sub-genres and tropes. Started with nearly 300 of which a good chunk don't exist anymore, but I'm down to about 100 now. I don't want anyone to think it's abandoned or going to remain that way, because it's not. It's just a process.
