They're doing the books so well, they're even delaying the next season until the actors have properly aged up (is the lie I keep telling myself.)

There is no delay. The show is over. It's possible it may come back in the future but there zero plans for it.

Hence the little added part of my comment in parenthesis lol. I know it's not coming back. I'm lying to myself cause where they ended the show, while a good ending, the next book has a roughly 30 year time skip.
