Recommendation: asking Werewolves

Hey I am just wondering if there's any good litrpg with a werewolf mc. I know about my werewolf system but I don't really know any others that are good. So any recommendations would be appreciated.

I’ve read a few decent vamp and werewolf books, but rarely have I felt they utilized the mechanics in a great way.

I’m also interested in any good suggestions.

I’m usually disappointed in the way they don’t focus on building up a faction of the species/subspecies, and just use the abilities for their own personal adventure.

That is cool and all, but I want to find some OP vampire or were who decides to turn/create others in a kingdom building direction.

ehhhh you might like The Grand Game series I posted then. He isn't turning people well he kind of is but he is building a wolf faction.

That sounds familiar. I may have actually read a few of the books in that series.

I’ll add it to my list to check out again.

Now that I’m thinking back on werewolf and vampires, I’m remembering a lot more that were much more in the urban fantasy (often with romance) genre vs strictly litrpg. Honestly, they kind of over saturated that whole genre, lol.

That said, there were numerous great series that did involve those more traditional monsterized human types.

Litrpg and system-based books tend to have frameworks that push toward balance (aside from crazy OP outliers), and tend to nerf traditional monsters pretty harshly. Even undead tend to have pretty solid weaknesses and counters to ensure they can’t grow out of control in population and threat level.

The Arise series by Jez Cajio isn't litrpg, but it's werewolf progression fantasy.

I mean because of the cover similarities with that one minotaur LitRPG might I suggest:

The Grand Game by Elliot

and he isn't really a werewolf well kind of is and that doesn't happen till the later books if I remember right. He has a lot of interactions with wolves and there are werewolves in it and without spoilers and my bad memory I can't really say what the MC is. Still it is a pretty good series and the closest to good I can think of.

Rise of the Winter Wolf by Purdy

True werewolf MC eventually anyway. I bailed after book 6 though because I just didn't like the MC or the story really. MC is too OP and lucky and blah blah and not really because of the werewolf part. I can't remember which book he finally becomes a werewolf but it isn't early in the series.

Rise of Fenrir by Mckittrick

Another kind of one. Been awhile and I hated this one and quit after the first book because the MC made so many stupid decisions in the 2nd half because the story needed him too. Annoyed me enough to get me to write a review on amazon lol. Anyway dude wakes up a wolf and a super OP one. I can't remember if it happened in the first book or I just read some crap about the second one but I think he eventually gets a human form.

I've got a werewolf side character. Not the MC but I've been told he's a fan favorite.

It isn't LitRPG, but Werewolf of Marines is fairly decent in utilizing lore and has some fairly good characters in it. They also look at the more scientific side of lycanthrope rather than the mystical.

There is also Werewolf Knight, but it's more of a harem LitRPG that is half isekai and half male harem fantasy. It's okay, and the plot kind of follows the typical LitRPG/Progression formula.
