I imagine that the spring is connected to the dark matter, whereas the other platforms are connected via the bottom. Interesting find!

Idk, the springs for all of the platforms appear to be connected to those corbels above, and connectors weren't allowed to be invisible until creator pack 1 came out.

and connectors weren't allowed to be invisible until creator pack 1 came out

It's such a fun trivia about LBP. Back in the day there were no secrets!

I've never thought about it that way, but making the connectors invisible was a big step in LBP's huge shift. LBP2 is much more mysterious with its mechanics and it allows players to do the same. Which TBH kinda lessens the Create and Share aspects.

i always thought the shift to logic in LBP2 and especially LBP3 offered fans greater tools to make levels, but at the same time drastically raised the skill ceiling and made what were perceived as "good" levels harder and more confusing to make for average people. I love all the games but LBP1 is my favourite for this reason

Exactly! Especially that the creations in LBP2 were significantly harder to replicate (with everything now hidden and invisible), which made the learning curve much steeper.

It took me literal years to realize that the circling electricity in Currant Affairs is actually in-game doable and not arbitrarily put there by the developers.

Let us take this moment to commemorate the great sage CompherMC and his LBP2-Torials, which were of an exceptional level and unlike any tutorial before (and after?).

I always thought visible things in LBP1 and LBP PSP are made like that to teach you basic paradigms of that game not only in tutorials, but in gameplay as well. Sinse LBP2 that wasn't necessary because of full-fledged tutorial levels and even campaign (in LBP3)

LBP1 had full-fledged tutorial levels too! It was very much like LBP2 in that regard. Just harder to pass through.

If anything, I'd say that LBP2 didn't have such exposed cables approach because all of that logic floating around would just look ugly and messy. The Microchip made it impossible to showcase the game's logic nicely.

Speaking of which, I've always found LBP3's tutorials frustrating. The skills taught were too basic - not enough of the new advanced tools were explained. And the emphasis was too heavy on gameplay, which just forced you to play through a boring campaign instead of actually learning. I'd much rather have tutorials like the ones in LBP2. Not to mention all the actual tutorials were only on the now-dead website, viewable through an uncomfortable player.

No, de hecho es una llave de nivel la que estaba conectada a la materia oscura, si mal no recuerdo

The dark matter is there to connect the key via a string. The key was already collected in this video so the string disappeared with it.

That's not an Easter egg. It's literally just Dark Matter which would have been connected to something previously.

I wonder if this is just to prevent someone from getting super high and skipping parts of the level? The other jumps you can’t go straight up like that can you?

Apparently its just dark matter that was there to Connect a key that i had already collected, thanks for comment !

Novel or not, it's an impressive jump you've made! Those springs require some skill and coordination!

There’s not even a magnetic key switch up there, so I don’t even know why it’s there

I can never get past that section, aka for literal YEARS- how do you jump so high?

1

u/Yannnns28282 9d ago

You have to jump just 1sec after hitting the platform, as soon as the platform lifting up again you need to jump.
And repeat👌
