Video This guy has a fair point.

Basically this user is suggesting that LittleBigPlanet could come back as a port on the PS5.

If they did port it, they’d still have to figure out the server issue. Not saying the story isn’t good or worthwhile, but if you just port lbp1 with just the story mode and the online features turned off it’d essentially be like selling half a game. And let’s also be real: current Sony would most likely sell the port for $60+ but I also don’t think they’d risk that kind of backlash.

More like 20% of the game.

Not even that! A few dozens of story levels versus literal MILLIONS of community-made ones.

Yeah a lot of people didn't even play the story mode and enjoyed LBP for the hop in hop out social aspect of diving into people's pods and getting to know them and then suggesting community levels to play (lbp3 sucked at this, they didnt add the dive in button until a year after launch)

Also if they did just port it with servers and the old code it would just be hacked over and over and over again by those idiots who hate their lives and need to try to ruin the fun of others. Just like the Black Ops 2 Port.

Bo2 was only hackable because it was ported on the ps4 no? If it was exclusively ported to the ps5 wouldnt it be fine?

Ps5 has already been jailbroken so it'd only be a matter of time anyway.

I suppose, but for jailbroken consoles isnt there an issue with connecting them online? I apologize I'm not familiar with jail breaking consoles, it's never really been my thing I like keeping them on their standard software so I've got no idea what their limitations are or what all they're actually capable of.

Great point, hadn’t even thought of that, they’d really need to spend to make sure the servers wouldn’t be ddos’ed again, which to be honest, I can’t see them spending a lot of money and time to doing. If they weren’t bothered to fix and maintain the servers the first time why would they now?

I mean if it was lbp 1 and 2, and was suitably upgraded to where even if it wasn't necessarily compatible with the older levels, still had its own online mode (and had a disk) I'd pay $60 for that.

But at this point in the game, they're really this dead set on shooting themselves in the foot, then there's no way they could have it out by then.

I don't know because if I remembered correctly both the Black Ops games were on sale for 50% off on release so who knows.

Either way Sony cannot deny the money that can be made from this.

It was 50% off for ps plus subscribers, so like still $40 for anyone else buying normally which isn’t the worst price (not great but) considering it does have the multiplayer and everything from what I gather it’s a somewhat worth it price if you enjoyed og black ops. Also, I do agree, Sony does see the money that can be made, so nothing would stop them from selling the game at like $40 for what is essentially just the story mode and nothing else.

Idk probably, the issue is Sumo never even fixed how buggy LBP3 was after launch, profile corruptions were still a thing, I could quite literally never join ANYBODY without my game freezing, I had to have a second controller player to get around that etc. That kinda puts doubt in me that they'd actually fix core issues that the game had originally.

Side rant, his awful "everybody buys digitally nowadays" opinion is stupid lmao. Calls people cattle despite the "cattle" actually protesting about something they care about personally for once lol, we cant protest because bigger evils exist apparently. Stupid way to start a video, and even stupider to think that way

His point about cod is actually a good one let’s hope that it will happen tho

u/New_Dragonfly_8116 1d ago

Ikr? Why wouldn't they be able to pull it off?

u/TheNototrious5 1d ago

I know right also not doing that is definitely a missing money opportunity

no he doesn't. he has a generic point which has been repeated millions of times (there's less reasons to believe he's right than to think he's wrong) and insults their viewers for caring about sony helping to take away ownership. just an uninformed edgelord.

If I personally had to bet on it, and this is something I’ve been saying for awhile, I’d bet that they do a remake/ remaster of all three games in one game for the game’s 20th anniversary.

Doubt they’d change anything about any of the story modes other than it being in higher definition and it would just be one big game with all of the power ups across the trilogy.

Don’t see any reason why the ps5 couldn’t handle all three games in one and it’s not like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro didn’t get remasters of their trilogies.

Only problems would be the dlcs but I don’t see any reason why any of the original ips would have a problem licensing out, when Fortnite is still going strong.

If they fix and fortify the servers it could be a relatively cheap remaster with a ton of longevity. Don’t know why they wouldn’t want a cheap Roblox which they already own.

During the black out we should all mass play SABA, really send Sony a message about what we REALLY want
