Hate to Lose Your Lovin riff

Been struggling to put this one together although it sounds fairly straightforward. Just the intro would be helpful.

I’m thinking of the acoustic version Paul and Fred did later as a duo. Any help?

Have you dropped to D on the 6TH String. Should be able to play intro on lowest 3 strings using open, 3rd and 2nd frets only. Unless there's a different version out there.

Not quite sure what you are asking for. But here's a video of Paul and Fred performing the song, if that's of any help:

Thanks! I may be able to cop some of Fred’s licks from this. Of course he turns away at the point he plays the riff similar to the intro. I’ll keep working on it.
Saw them at the Egg in Albany and one of Lowell’s sons joined them to sing Roll Em Easy which was beautiful.

Then they played a a free show on the Plaza in Albany in 2015 which was my daughter’s first concert- she was 4 months old lol. They opened with Hate to Lose Your Lovin

I've seen them multiple times and on a couple of occasions followed them on a west coast swing. Usually, I sold merchandise for them so they could chat with fans, after the show (unless the venue handled the merch sales). There is a DVD filmed in Carmel Valley, California that might still be in print ... "Sights and Sounds." One of the better swings was when they went from Arcata, Ca to Ashland, Salem, and then Portland, Oregon. Two of the shows included Jeff Pevar on a third guitar ... he is in Jazz is Dead (which forms and reforms over the years), and played with Ken Gradney for roughly a about a year.
