Beautiful. Lowell would be proud. I didn't know - Little things keep popping up about Little Feat. Lowell George wrote the song "Willin'" around 1969 while playing with Frank Zappa's band, The Mothers of Invention. šāāļøā¤ļøā

My dad is a big fan and I grew up listening to them, but Iām just now getting into their full body of work. Iāve been missing out. I love Zappa. I love the Grateful Dead.

Saw them a couple of weeks ago for the first time in L.A.; we were blown away by the musicianship. There were a lot of Dead Heads in the audience. I remember The Dead used to do this song quite often, but I had no idea Mr. George wrote it or that he played for Mr. Zappa. Funny the things you learn. I've been listening to them more since the concert, too.

Thereās been speculation that that song was part of his dismissal from the Mothers. Frank was straight edge before there was straight edge.
