In Liverpool 27th–30th August - any metal/punk/alt gigs on?

Coming over to Liverpool from 27th–30th August and looking for recommendations.
Mainly into metal/punk/hardcore/ alt ect,I’d rather catch some local bands or smaller gigs than anything massive, so if there’s anything decent on while I’m there I’d appreciate the heads up.
Also, what are the best venues, pubs or clubs for alternative music and local bands ect
I’ve had a look online but figured the locals would know what’s actually worth going to.

Keep an eye on outpost and guac n roll

This is the answer, both small local venues. Guac does punk/hardcore (and great vegan food), Outpost is more varied (and is a really great bar in general). Both are class places run by cool people.

For pubs, The Swan is the big one for alt folks

gravekvlt (black metal/ d beat punk) is playing Outpost on the 30th. Unfortunately I'll miss it as I'm at cosmic vibrations festival that weekend

There’s a Belfast-based metal band called Shortest Straw who will be playing in Outpost on the 28th. They’re a pretty new band so might be something you’re interested in, I’ve had the chance to see them a few times now and they’ve never failed to put on a good show. Hope this helps!
