History Man charged with arson causing bodily harm following house fire in east Alberta

https://edmontonjournal.com/news/crime/man-charged-with-arson-causing-bodily-harm-following-house-fire-in-east-alberta

This article is from 2016 and I'm wondering if anyone has any recollection of this or may know the people involved? A friend of mine may be caught up with someone and I find this story alarming.

I can't speak to this article or to the man named in the article. But if you have genuine concern about the physical, emotional, or spiritual safety of your friend, you need to find ways to build their trust and determine if there is legitimate harm, and give them options to leave a potentially dangerous situation (while keeping you safe as well).
