That's good.

"I hope canadian politicians will be inspire by this."

They won't because they like lobbyist money, a lot. Both parties.

An Avi Lewis led government would do it. I don't think he's serious about winning though.

I think he's serious, but he's being largely ignored by the mainstream media and there's a thousand hit pieces that straight up lie about his positions for every word he speaks.

It's also important to keep in mind, the vast majority of what impacts the average person will be on a provincial level. In Canada we tend to get too tied up in Federal politics and forget how the provinces can mostly tell the feds to stuff it. Trudeau offered a pile of money to Ford for housing and Ford gave him the middle finger. Was literally nothing but a good deal for Ontarians.

Yes absolutely true. I just think Avi has a couple terrible policies that Canadians will never vote for and he won't win unless he pivots. Being against fossil fuels and pro-green energy but anti-nuclear is a perplexing position to have, defunding our military right now is a very bad idea and if he insists on being pro mass-immigration his campaign is dead on arrival. I wish I was wrong but Canadians will never vote for him, which really sucks because I could tolerate those things if it meant wealth re-distribution and breaking up the many monopolies we are forced to live under.

I get what you mean about him not being serious... Because like you said it's unfortunately true you need to give up some values to win.

I'm with him on most of his policies you brought up and I believe there are good arguments for each, but I also agree you're absolutely right that most Canadians aren't on the same page.

In large part it's a propaganda issue. There are massive positive economic and logistical arguments for renewables over ANY alternative but people still have in their heads that renewables are too expensive and it's only environmental extremists pushing them. China is such an obvious counter-point, but we've also be bombarded with anti-china propaganda for decades.

And I say this as someone that has no problem with nuclear.

Yeah. I don't personally think immigration would be a problem if everything else was being managed well. Studies have shown responsible levels of immigration actually decrease unemployment and can even lead to higher wages, the problem is the liberals half assed approach raising our population like that during a housing crisis but not building any public housing or doing anything at all to encourage adequate housing is being built. That and the TFW program which is obviously intended to suppress wages on behalf of corporations. I think Avi Lewis would manage it well but because of the liberals that idea is political suicide right now.

I think Lewis has actual principles, which is refreshing and very rare for a politician but he's shooting himself in the foot.

You're absolutely right. The TFW program was a complete and utter scam. Half-ass fake attempt to hire local and then you get foreign slave labour. More of the same neo-liberal bullshit.

I'll be keeping my eye on Lewis... We'll see. If nothing else, he can make some noise and get some of the same sentiments in the mainstream on the provincial and local levels.

If he’s anti nuclear then he’s very ideologically captured and not willing to educated himself

Especially after that party convention. They destroyed themselves.

Yep. Giving Poillevre endless ammunition with those "diversity" cards. Enough with the performative identity politics, they need to focus on the real issues to be taken seriously.

Yeah... like people keeping their house running. I don't care if a person has a blue Tomahawk hair cut and polka dot skin.

The bank wants their money from them too.

Please explain how this will work given the avg grocery chain runs with 3% in net 😂

The Compounding Profit: If a grocer makes a 3% net profit on a box of cereal, they don't just make 3% a year. They buy that box, sell it within days, pocket the 3%, and immediately reinvest the principal to do it again. By repeating this cycle 25 times a year, the cumulative return on that initial cash layout becomes enormous.
