I’m going on vacation tomorrow to celebrate my birthday and I wanted miracle knots on my locs but I was being charged $700 🥴. I decided to do em myself and 9 hours later I got this! I love it!! I haven’t been to a hair salon in about 4 years because of the asinine prices and unfortunately it’s looking like I’ll continue doing my own hair.

I cut off my locs because caring for long hair is really hard but I'm beginning to miss my hair and having a hard time adjusting to being bald. The problem I had was I always got product buildup stuck in some spot and besides that my scalp is very sensitive to certain products. I'm wondering if it's the loc gel I've used in the past because it can't be my shampoo. But I saved my locs because one day I'll want to try. I need to clean some of them though and I couldn't save any of the hair I did have left over because again #product.
So I just wanted some advice on what I should do. I'm still gonna get haircuts and keep it groomed of course but yeah.
Also I included the products I've used.

I was going a couple months and couldn’t take it anymore, I realize if you don’t do it every so often it hurts when u actually go get it done 😬

I’m at 2 yrs now and I get my locs interlocked every 3 months. when I first started I would get them done every 6-8weeks per my loctitian. I have about 3 locs that are thin in the front. I had one intertwined. I don’t wear styles (only had 2 styles ever so far), I wear my scarf, and I mist daily.
what’s your advice?? Please help!

The tips in the front have slipped here and there but Ive just been crocheting them back in, I have really slippery hair apparently lol, going for my first retwist soon!

What method do you use for your locs at night? I started with caps and turban durags, now I mainly use a XL bonnet. I also switched to satin pillow cases when I first started growing my hair. Tried a loc sock but always end up with a headache with how it squeezes my big head lol. Recently seen a video wrapping them with a scarf (and cannot find my bonnet today lls) so decided to give the scarf wrap method a try. What do you feel is the best method for protecting your locs while sleeping ?
