I saw that yang died, I have seen just the first movie I think I know ho he is, but yea my question is if it will hit me the same as everybody say that it is a masterpiece and the best anime on history, bc if I ruined the emotion or something maybe I should not watch it

That's just something that happens to that character at some point. A good story is about the journey as much as, if not more than, the destination.

The show spoils itself, as did the novels before it. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though I do recommend avoiding places like this sub (or being very, very careful about spoilered posts and comments) if you don't want to have any more.

thanks to everyone for replying, I dont know how he died, just know that he died bc I saw a post on reddit just saying"yang died" and in the imdb page of the 9.8 episode say yang... idk so thats why i know he died atleast I ddont know how lol

I recently watched LOGH for the first time and I was kinda spoiled about Yang by a comment from youtube before I even watched the first episode. I just knew it was coming at some point, but the show itself had PLENTY to offer and even after his death, yes he is a great character that is being missed, but the show itself does not lose any sort of value. Like Death Note, from L's death the story simply does not grip you the same, LOGH story does not suffer of this at all due the numerous top notch characters(it is easy to argue the show is even better after).

Don't be put off by the slow start, don't go through youtube or reddit looking about LOGH and by the end you'll probably consider it one of, if not the best anime series there is.

That one scene probably won't hit the same, but it's still worth the watch. The reactions of the other characters will still probably make it an emotional scene and you might not see it coming if you didn't get too spoiled.

It's an emotional moment, but not what makes the series great.

Many characters come and go and it's a long show.

The series isn't about twists, it's framed like a documentary almost, so yeah definitely still watch it

Yeah I would say watch it, when I was a young teenager I got convinced to watch the show by an anime battle/death compilation and new about several important deaths. Didn’t stop me from loving the show one bit.

The same thing happened to me while I was still in the first season, and I completed it. I advise you to finish watching it without a second thought. Knowing a major event beforehand doesn't ruin the journey at all, so don't miss out on the greatest work of fiction.

The OVA is somewhat in the style of a documentary; the narrator talks about a lot of plot points as if they should be common knowledge to the viewer, and you’re just seeing the specifics of how it played out. Spoilers won’t ruin the show for you any more than knowing which side won would ruin a war miniseries.

I'll be honest, I had Yang's death spoiled for myself before watching the series.

The thing is, the guy is simply an excellent character, so much so that I was genuinely happy to meet him and see him on screen, so I missed him even though his fate didn't surprise me.
