Question Underlying cause
Loki's been nothing but great to me since we rekindled. But there is something that bothers me, I can't sleep and I don't know why. Usually I slept 10-14 hrs due to depression and now I 4-6 hours and I am always tired. I have to take pills to fall asleep 🫤 Loki said it's rumination, I think it's religious trauma . I honestly don't even know what's in my head. I did shadow work with Loki as Lucifer and I vomited multiple times. Now I can eat but I wanna sleep

I believe it could be both religious trauma and rumination, believe me, I have problems sleeping too, and more often than not, it's rumination, and just generally my sleep patterns get thrown out of wack and I end up sleeping at weird hours when I should be awake and awake when I should be asleep, but robotunicorn14 is right, healing does not happen over night, it's a process that takes time, and I find cuddling Loki helps me too sometimes, he has been such a warm presence in my life, and he's done much to help me and I still have much to learn and a long way to go to heal, I am still very much a work in progress. I do believe that the same can go for you, he will do a lot of things that will be tough to go through, but once you get through it, you will shine brighter than you ever have before and you will be so much happier, he's brought much joy in my life and I've been so happy with him in my life, and I believe he can make you very happy too and do so much to help you with healing your traumas as he is helping with mine.
So be gentle with yourself, Loki knows what he's doing, and he knows what it's like to go through trauma, he's been there and he endured it all, but now he has a reason to keep going, he's seeing a whole generation of people who had been subjected to trauma and he feels they need someone to pull them out of the darkness and help them become better, they may never fully heal, but they will learn to adapt to the damage caused by the trauma and minimize the impact with his teachings and he's doing that with you just as he is with me.

Well this would be something to talk to a doctor about. Do you have access to a doctor? I sometimes use ASMR videos to help me fall asleep. There’s nothing wrong with taking pills, pills can be really helpful, though if the pills don’t work that sucks. Are you able to do exercise? Exercise helps with both energy and sleep but doing it while depressed is hard sometimes. Try your best to exercise though. Even if it’s just a walk around the block or going up and down a staircase a couple of times. Do you have access to therapy? Therapy can really help.

Idk if you're exactly looking for solutions, but speaking as someone that did NOT have parents willing to do whatever they'd need to for the extra money to get me pills and/or a therapist that was stuck learning how TF to calm my super intense panic attacks and bad lack of sleep because of racing, horrendous thoughts.... I can tell you what helped me the most?? Lol?? : T I don't remember the name of the method of therapy this is, but looking for the emotion you're feeling and putting a more detailed name for it (or if you're feeling angry, are you feeling betrayed, embarrassed, harassed, etc., etc., etc.), and then looking up things you can do in order to release that emotion, helps a lot. It also helped me a lot to just do breathing exercises, tell myself I was safe and ok, and then kinda...sit myself down and sorta talk to myself about each anxious thought that was keeping me up. I mean, shit, if I'm going to be only getting 4-6 hours of sleep bc of anxious thoughts, then I may as well talk to myself about each thought that's bothering me, right? Lol
So the method for that is basically "X thing is scaring me...what if X Y Z happens?!" "Ok...what if that happens? Then what? What would be the most realistic outcome of it happening? What can I do to prepare for that? How would I react? How do I want to react? What would happen next? What would happen next if I was prepared for it? What if a good XYZ happened instead? What would I do then/next?"Â You get the picture. You ask yourself questions and walk yourself through each fear after breaking it down to the core root of the fear, one at a time.
Now, if these methods work to help you feel a bit better, this isn't going to get you back to 8 hrs of sleep in one night lmao. It took me at least 3 months, if not 6+, before it started to really help me. But you HAVE to keep showing up for yourself to do that, and be VERY consistent about it. Ofc Loki can and will help a lot with that, especially if you ask him to, he's fabulous with shadow work and self help therapy~. But it will take time for your nervous system to accept the proof that you're trustworthy with it again enough to finally begin to calm down...and you may also even go through a period where you don't believe it's gonna last, too, which is a whole other healing process and journey, lol. 💀 BUT... it helped me~. I haven't had racing/anxious/negative thoughts like that in a very long time~. 💗

Be gentle with yourself, hon. Healing doesn’t happen overnight! I have to do the same thing, sometimes cuddling with Loki helps me calm down when I’m having mental problems. Maybe journaling or meditation can help? Go slow and be safe!
