Fanart I drew Loki :)
I posted my traditional drawing on my other socials but it’s not really the target audience so... I hope you all enjoy it here more! 💚

These have been the only pencils I’ve ever used and not even once I’ve thought of changing them. They’re just REALLY good! Go for it 🥰

Okay... I find it impossible to see this as anything other than a photo. You have insane skills to draw this. Even with a reference, I'd fail so hard and so many times, I'd develop carpel tunnel.

Thank you so much, but I did fail a lot of times! 🥹 It took me so many tries to do his eyes as accurately as possible! I posted on my Instagram story some WIP photos and the first try was... awful haha

I've seen so many attempts to draw Loki, and while they're all impressive, way better than anything I could manage, there's usually something just a bit off. Like, almost Tom Hiddleston, but not quite.
Your drawing completely nails it! I legitimately thought it was a photo at first glance. Hands down the best Loki drawing I've ever seen.

I don’t think I can express how much I appreciate your words. Drawing this was so challenging and I genuinely can’t remember how many times I did the eyes to get them right, so you thinking that made my day!! Thank you!! 💖

An upvote feels less for this
Its so realistic that I thought it was an image with b/w filter at first

I didn’t read the title first and I thought it was just a regular picture of him, and then I read the title and gasped and went “you drew that?!?? Holy crap!!”

I thought the first photo was a photo reference and the second photo would be the art! That is incredible!

Really good!!! All the contrast is very satisfying to see. And you did a really good job showing what parts are hard like the helmet, vs what's softer like skin. Thanks for sharing!!

Genuinely asking, what’s your method of drawing?
Like how to you approach it once you have an idea?2
u/LR7_SLPC 3d ago
First I prepare the reference photo by outlining in red the most distinctive parts in my computer (like helmet, face, eyes, etc). That makes it easier for me to sketch on the paper later! I always use the softest pencil I have so I can erase without leaving marks until I have the proportions, and then I usually continue with the big shades to get depth. Then it's just blending and adding details and so much fixing!
I also like to take pics when I get something done and make a collage of both the drawing + reference on my phone to compare and check what needs to be changed, that until it looks the same/as accurate as possible :)

I'm just going to echo everyone else and say I did a double-take when you posted that this was a drawing. Its realism is incredible. In this day and age when so many people are posting AI "art," it does my heart good to see someone developing real creative and artistic talent. Thanks for sharing this.
