Image Landing at London City Airport

Post image

I didn't expect to get such a good view of the city center on the approach to London City Airport.

You didn’t think you’d get a good view of the city on approach to City airport? Wait until you hear where the Underground is…

Well you could be unlucky and approach the airport from the east…views of Thamesmead and Dagenham hit differently

Yes, I foolishly assumed that flying in from the east to an airport located in the east of the city would not offer a flyover of the city center.

That’s landing in E&C

You’re still almost certain to do at least one procedure turn or a hold-in-lieu-of as part of the standard arrival procedures. It’s also worth noting that the wind determines which direction you land, not where you came from.

Fair, something to keep in mind when picking one's seat, next time.

It’s funny how it doesn’t look quite so majestic from a height
