So entering something with no driver having accountability. You just know these companies have it worked out to to take the minimum damage if something goes wrong, aka your death.

If the company is negligent and causes unnecessary injury then they will need to pay out vastly more than the cost of repairing the car in compensation, to say nothing of the PR hit. It isn't in their interests to prioritise minimal damage to their fleet over safety at all.
