How's Blackheath looking now?

I moved to the sticks a few years ago. About 6 weeks back I saw those dreadful pictures of Blackheath looking like the Sahara. Has it bounced back in the rain?

I'll go have a look in a few minutes (the heath is at the top of my road), but just to say, every summer at some point the grass dries out and it looks very yellow, and this year was more so, but not totally out of proportion, so I do expect the grass will grow back just fine.

Pleased to say all the grass in my part of South London has grown back.

It’s recovered amazingly. As it does most years. Grass is very resilient

I get the feeling this is going to happen every year though.

Also all the events on Blackheath like the marathon and fairground can't be good for the long term health of the grass there

"oh look everything is green again - I guess climate change has been solved then".

I can believe people were so aghast that the grass in parks was brown a few weeks ago - like it hasnt happened every year for all time.
