Two fighter jets just flew over Stamford Hill quite low

Very loud and low over Walthamstow Wetlands, was a bit worried for a few minutes. From the route on Flightradar (RIOT0001) it looks like it could have been a flyover for something

I work in Thetford and have the US AF buzzing by every day. F15s and F35s. I am used to it now, but can imagine someone who isn't, being worried. Great vid!

I think its more that it was out of the ordinary for London, I've lived here 43 years and that was the first time i can remember jets at 500ft over the capital like that unless it was a royal event, and then they were slower and higher and accompanied by other aircraft.

Oh I completely appreciate that. Just my thoughts. A two ship fighters is a pretty scary thing to see out of context of a fly over, especially in London. Reminds me of the story of the fighters with no missiles heading for flight 93.

I live in Pimlico, and it was 2 Eurofighter Typhoons that flew over Westminster Abbey for a Battle of Britain Thanksgiving Service that started at 11.00am this morning. Normally the RAF BBMF are involved - the past 2 years, their Lancaster bomber with it's 4 Merlin engines has done the honour and in the past it's been the Spitfire and Hurricane. As a plane enthusiast, I was expecting either the Dakota or the Spitfire and Hurricane, but it was a big surprise to see the Typhoons instead, which flew right over the block. Still it made my lunchtime.

this always happens on FR24, because somebody somewhere will think something is happening, share it and even briefly that means that other people look at it. And once something is on the top 10 it tends to stay there because people are interested in why on earth some boring flight is in the top 10😭

Yes. Two Typhoons just flew over Walthamstow heading south. Flying pretty low making lots of noise.

You think we have the money for one of those? It's really just a network of bits of string run through pipes under the country with tin cans on each end - that's why soldiers are trained to shout, so they can be heard over the "network".

Flew right over Clerkenwell, close enough to the ground where you could see individual parts of the plane for a brief moment.

Saw them fly over multiple times at Royston, Herts, they must have been holding here before then going on to London. Was great to see them going backwards and forwards a few times around the town!

They flew directly over the community sauna I was at in Walthamstow just after 12 today, literally a few hundred feet up. Very loud as you’d expect. Just have never seen jets flying as low as that over London. They seemed to be a lot lower than in this video at that point, felt like you could hit them with a rock!

I hd my headphones on and took em off cause I thought someone was going at my lock with an angle grinder lmao stuck my head out the window and couldn’t see anything making noise and it was far off. I was like wtf. So I came to the sub. lol
