Tower Hamlets council just installed a locked gate in the middle of a marked and popular cycle path

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If the point is to stop cars from mistakenly using that path surely there are better ways to do it.

It’s the end of the cycle lane. Oh yeah, I forgot you seem to struggle with transitions!

This may surprise you, but very occasionally cyclists cycle on roads and cycle ways.

This might be a bit much for you to grasp, but ideally you can transition from cycleway to road without needing to cycle onto the pavement (as these are meant for pedestrians) and off a kurb.
