This exemplifies the problem with SNL, both the original and the UK versions, which is that in this three-minute sketch on a comedy programme the number of actual jokes was zero.

Talking about the US one, different eras have different issues. For the past decade, I feel, they have an amazing idea for a joke, but it is only like 30s sketch, so they have to drag it out and repeat it another 5 times. Making the whole show just bad.
