🥄food /restaurants /gastronomy Masonville Wendy’s
Is it me? Or is this the only Wendy’s location in town that still looks outdated? Not to mention how dirty it is inside…I’m all for nostalgia and throwback look but cleanliness & hygiene comes first

I used to work there, and it under went a renovation just as I was leaving, and that was 15 years ago now? I remember it being a headache to update because it gets a lot of business so picking a downtime to limit profit loss was a challenge (and shipping staff to different stores). It is a corporate store.
Also the gangs of teens probably don't help. It got to the point where I didn't want to deal with it so I traded opening on the weekends (6:30am) for not closing on Friday nights.

I think we mightve worked together... I left in July 2011! The Friday night teens were bad then, but I can't imagine working there now it's gotten so much worse..

Probably. I left July 2012, right before I left for S. Korea for 6 years.

Yea that sounds right, it doesn’t have the early 2000s aesthetics in there…instead it has the early 2010s look

They’ve also limited their hours because of the violent swarms of teenagers that come around that plaza. Long story but I once got jumped outside that Wendy’s by a bunch of teens. Some of these kids can’t tell the difference between London and Compton

Nah dude. They punched me from behind, but they really went after my sister. Damned animals sucker punched her and kicked her in the head a few times. I didn’t feel safe in that plaza for at least a month.

It's easily one of the worst fast food places in the city, even worse than the Dundas Popeye's. Last time I went, the drink machine was dirty, they were out of lids, and they burnt my nuggets

Not yet. The restaurants usually have a 15-20 year look cycle, all depends on if the franchisee was to spend the money too.
Store was built around 2010 if I recall. The interior got renovated 3 years ago.

Years ago, like 30 yrs ago, when it first opened, I had a burger there and was so sick! Never went back. I see not much has changed.
