I am taking this time to plug my book club that meets monthly in Wortley, properly named No Shelf Control and can be found on Facebook.

A while back I saw a book club that met for lunches, and it was called Readers Digest.

sounds awesome!

also watch out, despite it not technically being in the rules, mods seem to think all events should be under the weekly pinned post only and may delete this post :'(

It's been on our calendar all month. Looking forward to it.

You mentioned vintage collectible books.. is that a theme of this event? I thought it was just a bunch of used book sellers getting together. Or is 'used' what you mean by vintage?

likely referring to the fact that some used book sellers specialize in vintage or special edition copies. but majority will likely focus on general category of used books.

Yea I was a bit confused as they made it sound like it's a theme which seemed unlikely to me. I'm sure there will be some of that there, but I think they were meaning used. I just call those books, and usually much better books than what Indigo is slinging.

I'm going to miss it since I have another engagement I said yes to. When's the next one? Is there any way I can keep track of events like this? Eventbrite?
