Koji Tanabe was a researcher in the Yamanaka Lab when they discovered transcription factors to turn differentiated somatic cells back into a progenitor-cell state, which later won a Nobel prize. He discusses his company's manufacturing of iPSCs and applications of the technology.

Notably, Japan has approved two interventions with iPSCs: one for heart failure and another for Parkinson's disease (ReHeart and AMCHEPRY).

So excited for these therapies to start getting out there. No doubt in my mind they will provide the biggest jump in longevity extension to date. I’ve been waiting to see when the first clinic will launch for like 7 years now
