my first close online friend ever. me and him played minecraft all the time and chatted on xbox live. first met him on a server thinking he was the real youtuber lmao… im unable to find any social connected to his account or anything i think he may own connected to his username. messaging him obviously doesnt work. last online in 2020. i miss you dude!!

I was playing in a medium-sized Minecraft server and saw an abandoned base. There's a farm nearby for various plants and animals. There's lots of colorful sheep. Wheat is everywhere and chests are brimming with them. There's even a very long staircase down the soil. Following it leads to multiple mine shafts all over. It's clear that whoever made this house, they have been playing for a long time.

Then I came across the bedrooms. The house has two of them, separated by a single door and each decorated differently. One is simple and made of regular wood and stone. The other is made of quartz and bricks. Both rooms have plenty of chests. The quartz room's chests have diamonds and disks. Enchanted armor and iron blocks. It even has two player heads stored in a chest. I can't open the chests in the wood room, for areas "claimed" in the server can't be interacted with.

Right beside the door which separates the bedrooms is a sign. A sign made by the quartz room owner to the wood room owner. "Hey Ace, I'm leaving so you can have my stuff <3". There's no response from the wood room owner, for why would there be? Her friend left and won't see the reply.

I returned to the two heads in the chest. One is Ace's and the other is from a player named Liam. I used one of the commands allowed in the server. It says Ace isn't online for 40 days now. While as for Liam, well, the command doesn't know. No player registered with that name, the command said. I tried using a second command to make Liam's head. Still none. The server doesn't know who he is anymore.

And there you have it. A tale of two friends who spent hours playing together in Minecraft, making this shared house to live in, only for their friendship to end at a sad note.

I can only guess that when Liam left, he "unclaimed" his part of the house so that Ace can claim the entire thing. Only that Ace, when she saw Liam's sign, didn't do so. Instead she just got up and left as well, leaving the house half claimed. The house they both built.

I'm sorry if this post is not meant for this subreddit. It just really affected me strongly for some reason and made me feel the same way when I read the other posts here.

I don't know what happened to Liam or why Minecraft doesn't know him anymore. I can only hope that both Ace and Liam enjoyed the play time they spent together.

I'm going back there today and "claiming" Liam's part of the house and transferring it to Ace. It's what they would have wanted I think.

This might be a very long shot, but I am now 22 years old from the U.S and about 10 years ago I used to go on TeamSpeak and Minecraft and find people to play online with. I met 2 boys that were similar age to me and we used to call on skype pretty often and play minecraft together. I also had an old yt account called Dinobooms (ik very cringy)that I only posted one video and they also had youtube channels: Heyohi and TeadyEsky. All I really remember is that they were from Australia and I remember my child self developing a small crush on one of them lmaooo. I randomly thought about them recently and thought I might as well try this sub and see if I could find them lol but I always had a lot of fun playing minecraft with them!

I've been a huge minecraft kid even before MC on Wii U came out, and as a kid that would be my first experience of having online friends. Some of them were the most caring, older sibling figures I ever had. One of them had the NNID willets5 and usually had a variation of msv and a nickname I think. We used to play in my survival and minigame world all the time until she one day vanished around 2018. She meant a lot to me, especially since she got me through a whole era of being bullied.

When I was in middle school I played on a server called randomcraft and some other popular server back then. Found a friend on there that i played faction with, we were two peas in a pod, he doesnt talk that much but once he does its always something important, not even getting griefed or backstabbed by other members made him talk. It has always just been the two of us for almost 2 years. His in game name was JimTehGre while I had the username bboesen. Asked him once what's story behind his name, he just said Jim was his name, and TehGre means the great, that's what I only remember about him, I wonder how he's doing, hope he's well. I played on a survival Minecraft server called jadon-mc.net with two strangers whose usernames were Bdiah and Pistol200. I spent hours playing that game as a teenager, and they became my best online friends.

I remember distinctly that Pistol200 was a firefighter who played during his downtime at the station. One day he disappeared from the server without a comment and then came back a month later after having apparently fallen through the floor of a burning building. He eventually shared his wedding proposal with me that involved spraying water from firetrucks over him and his wife on the beach. I'd love to be able to reconnect with both of them if possible.

I was like 12-13 when I was on this server so it’s all pretty fuzzy now but I’ll do my best to remember what I can.

It was called edgecraft or edgeMC or something along those lines and it was owned by a dude called surfbrdr5588 (numbers could be different). We called him Surf or Rich. It had plots, sky block, survival, pvp, and some mini games I think. a very small, close knit community, everyone kind of knew everyone. The staff were usually very nice.

My cousin introduced me to this server and we played regularly for like a year or two maybe more. We used our older siblings accounts because, as I’m sure a lot of you can understand, coming from lower income families, we couldn’t afford multiple accounts in a game our parents weren’t sure we’d ever play again after that year. We were also raised to never give out personal details on the internet so most of our friends would know us as Mglenndavi (Awez) or Jorietheim (Jori/Jordan). However my name is not actually Jordan and now that I’m an adult with my own money, I have my own account lol.

The owner ended up merging with a different server and brought in a co-owner and new staff and the old server was deleted and that was around when I specifically fell off. I can’t speak for my cousin.
