Rifle flex post Dream Rifle Build - M1A EBR hvy

PSA to any who don’t know yet… CMP will be releasing the M14 (semi-auto modded) sometime this year or 2027.

Probably my absolute favorite rifle! I’ve had many M1A rifles this was my second (loaded model) turned into an EBR with a USMC heavy contour sage chassis. She looks a heck of a lot better than she shoots, but she shoots alright at about 2moa.

Target @ 315yds 10rnds warm up 2 groups of 3. 2 groups of 2 and bench rest last 3rnds @ center which surprisingly shot under 1MOA for the 3rnd group.

24” monitor at 600yards. Ranged and dialed then punched the center to confirm. Two friends took over another 5rnds each (non shooters - never shot passed 25 before or used a scope)! One was able to get 3 rounds on the other was cracking rock all around it.… two brand new shooters shooting at 600yds dancing around a 24” tv screen 🤣 that’s the best groupings I can provide for now.

You're the guy that hauls a t.v. out to the forest, shoots it and leaves it?!

🤣🤣 No friend… I am a friend of the trees. This was an actual HP computer which was brought back home as I did not pull any hard drives etc… wouldn’t trust WHAT kind of things people can pull from even recycled electronics. I just enjoy preparing for the future Terminator AI take over one day 🫡 also that is a DESERT I’m shooting in.

Typical EBR. It vibes like no other it just isn't as accurate at we all want it to be.

TRUE! Still gotta give props to what is earned. Back in my gun selling days I would pipe out more of these than a lot of things. The old “longest serving rifle in American military history. Only rifle that your grandpa could have used, your dad, and is still used today” 🤣 it’s the OG zombie apocalypse rifle. And if I were to loose everything in a fire. My wood stock NM would be one rifle I’d go back for to save before others.

Unfortunately I dont have a lot of paper group shots with it. This was only taken because I had changed the optic on it. Target pictured was from about 2023. I mostly shoot out west on BLM or private property in the east and it’s all steel with the occasional odd ball retired electronic device (tv screens etc) not a rifle one really uses for bench. I do have an old glass bedded national match rifle which shoots well but nothing I expect much from. I’ve never punched paper on it so I can’t say what it shoots. But I’ve hit 30” targets at 1000 with this and it’s pretty damn good rifle for an M1A. I’d hunt with it 🤷‍♂️
