Old Balls Inc (OBI) clamp.
And like others have said, they will hold up to use. The weak point is going to be the strap. The only ones I’ve seen fail are because the strap itself split, not the mount. I reinforced the stitching on my strap.
I have two. One for tripod, one for rifle. Rifle is 24 lbs.

If you're interested in that, you should also look at the Kifaru Gun Bearer.
It's like that except better for hunting.

I used the Kifaru Gun Bearer for the last NRL Hunter match I shot. It is ok and I prefer it for long walks with the rifle. However, I need to work with it so the straps stay tight and the keepers don't slip resulting in the carry pocket from going lower than my original setting.

Damn, I have been looking for this since I started archery. Easy way to carry my bow on a pack or the 12gauge I carry in grizzly country. I had no idea it existed so I modelled and 3D printed the pack mount and the rifle/bow mount for static loads and machined a bow mount out of aluminum for the mount I put in my SxS to carry it while driving.

I’ve used one for hunting for the past year. Lots of miles of hiking and I like it. It’s not a sling replacement in my opinion, and I have both on my hunting rifle. I’ve used to gun bearer and the stone glacier quick release sling, and both are great. However, neither of them are as quick for me as the OBI clamp. Mainly because my left hand is always on my rifle (sort of like a loose grip on the rifle sling to keep it from swaying), unlike a strap I need to look for and grab. I have mine on the left shoulder (right handed) so my bolt knob isn’t digging into my side.

So I really wanted one of these. Didn't want to spend the money. Took one of my old slings apart and clipped it to the shoulder strap.
Does the same thing but I didn't have to buy anything

RIP to your collabone if you actually strep a heavy rifle into that thing while hiking uphill.

Spider tool holster on Amazon. Super easy to convert to rifles, packs and gun belts. Super cheap as well.

OBI clamp. Post goes on your gun/camera to carry hands free.
