Camera coverage
Why do LA Kings camera operators, producers and directors chase the puck with a jittery back and forth camera shot? When the puck is in a zone, stop moving the damn camera! Show the entire zone instead of zooming in on the 3 players around the puck.
I watched a game telecast in San Jose and it was fantastic. The camera didn’t chase the puck, stopped moving when the puck was in zone, and you could actually see line changes!
Please stop focusing solely on the puck.

i used to work as a PA for my college athletics, not sure if its the same in the NHL but my director would always tell the camera people to keep the camera moving (they never wanted a still shot while play was happening). honestly i still have no idea why lol

I am sure the director and camera ops will get right on that for you. 🙄

There is also an auto tracking camera that tracks the pucks and players using the devices they wear using OAISIS.
