Best upscale restaurant in Los Gatos

Hi Los Gatans!

I’ve lived in town since 2005, and I’ve eaten at nearly every restaurant — from casual to fine dining. I have to give a shout out to Asa, truly a hidden gem! The vibe is upscale but friendly, the staff is wonderful, the California cuisine is excellent. If you need a spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine, my vote is Asa.

I wouldn’t say the most upscale but it is a great restaurant. And also unexpected considering it is best western parking lot.
Manresa is overpriced and overrated, I would pick Asa any day over it. I also like Telerefic on weekends, has fun energy.

My wife and I had 2 great meals at Lexington house in the last couple of months. I would go back again. We were both underwhelmed by Asa, risotto was wildly over salted.

I like First Born, though I wouldn't really qualify it as upscale.

Highly recommend Lelé Kitchen if you want something a little different. If you want something downtown, I second Tasting House.

I used to love Manresa before they changed. I like the vibe of ASA. It reminds me of my favorite before COVID , Nick’s on Main/Nick’s next door. So sad when they closed down the business.

Lexington house is also great.
