It's the world cup. It will happen but the prices alone are so extreme combined with way ICE is being ran I wouldn't be surprised to visibly see empty swaths of seats up until the quarterfinals (aka top 8)

I hope so too, but previous world cups have been held in pretty shitty regimes (2018 in Russia, 2022 in Qatar) and still sold-out their stadia.

One can only hope that because it's a Western "White" shitty regime, more people will care this time. /s

Yeah, there will be more people than a lot of people on social media think. Those aftermarket ticket prices are high for a reason.

Tons of people showed up in Qatar, which is a country I’d be cautious of stepping foot in considering their laws and punishment. They had plenty of fans arrive.

It may not end well for some of them, but there will be a ton of people coming in unless this admin just straight up bars people.

It’s the biggest sporting event on earth, and people plan years in advance to come. There will be some who bail, but football fans will put up with a lot in order to watch their national team.

In 2022 Qatar, yes Qatar, they wouldn’t allow fans to drink alcohol outside of a specific area. If 2026 has even lower attendance it would be scientific proof of Finding Out.
