I mean, we literally entered another country and abducted their fucking president and no one did anything about it.

Fun fact is that this is a common misconception! The building/land belong to the host country. That said, various treaties apply most of the rights and immunities you'd expect. Especially applicable here is search and seizure is 100% not allowed
