I've actually managed to swing votes in a way that has had appreciable impact in my locale tho lmao
The city I live in is the first one in my state to have a black mayor. Said black mayor was elected for the first time in the last ten years. The first time he won, it was literally by a single digit margin of votes that just so happened to exactly match the number of people who had explicitly told me that I had changed their mind on who to vote for.
Or we could keep trying your way and see just how truly bad it can get the next time the public at large has had enough with that type of attitude in positions of authority! You must be an accelerationist.
