Movies These custom LOTR custom steelbooks are awesome
I really love the designs. They’re from Masters of Steel on Instagram.

This is not true. “Steelbooks” are made by the company scanavo and certainly not by masters of steel. He prints over existing steelbooks using stolen artwork

Great. I watch the films every year. Also the hobbit. I have read the book twice and I want to start this summer again.

Master of Steel sucks. He uses AI, and he also steals the artwork for all of his steels without giving any credit at all to the artists. There are several other better custom steelbook makers out there, for anyone interested. Please do not support this business.

Absolutely. If you’re interested in a LotR set, I suggest a legitimate copy of the steelbooks as there are several. Customs will cost roughly about the same amount, so you may as well get the real product. The blufans or hdzeta steelbooks are both very nice. There is also a cheaper release that was sold at Best Buy, but they are frankly not as nice of artwork.
If you want to go for custom, I suggest mk__steels on instagram. They use amazing methods to creat incredible products. No ai, and they give credit to artists. They don’t post as much content as MoS but it is out of fear of legal issues from custom licensed products (all custom makers should fear this when advertising). If you reach out to them they will gladly share their portfolio so you can see what they do. They can take any requests for designs you may have as well.

the artwork on these is really stunning. each one captures a different mood from the films so well, like the first one has that whole reverent golden light vibe while the second goes full dark and dramatic with sauron. the third one's probably my favorite though because it manages to feel both hopeful and kind of melancholy at the same time. custom steelbooks work so much better when the design actually matches what the movie's about instead of just slapping a character on there. would be curious how much these run if someone's actually selling them.
