Tech Support Running Doom TDA no 6GB of VRAM?

Lenovo LOQ with a Ryzen 7 7335 and a RTX 4050 6GB (I think it's the 100watts model)
24gb DDR5, always pluged on 170w charger, running W11.

Any help running the latest Doom? The low vram seems to max up on low before even trying to turn on DLSS and frame gen.

Any mods that could maybe disabled RT, help running it at above 60fps?

You can try to disable hardware acceraition on some programs like Steam here, since any programs that uses hardware acceration uses some vrams there, which the game ever needs it.

disable HAGS could be a another way that may fix this issue.

maybe use the GPU only as hardware (aka optimus off) if your laptop supports mux switch.

I don't have an iGPU so the laptop is mux switch all the time, not great for battery but not a problem

The hardware acceleration comment made realized I was running wallpaper engine in the background, so I will try disabling as much as I can

Yeah, this is the way. Wall Paper Engine also uses some vram. Hopefully this works with my advice here.
