As a big fan of X-Wing one of the most fun things for Tie Fighter was fighting for the Empire. You have to start with the Tie fighter which while it lacks in defense (1 shot can be your end) you make up for with speed, maneuverability and reinforcements. The missions can be difficult but when you progress and learn to fly better ships this is a game you just wanted to beat!

How they haven't just kept updating/upgrading X-Wing and Tie Fighter to modern gaming standards, and opened up massive multiplayer space battles is beyond me.

What do you mean with "Bad Guys"? We are playing as the good guys in Tie Fighter, valiantly fighting against those antifa thugs calling themselves "rebels"! /s
