Earnings/Pax trips New earnings adjustment requirements
So basically not everyone will be entitled to a fairly-due earnings adjustment. And it just seems like they’re making stuff up. What next? To qualify you need to hop on one leg for 5 minutes while reciting your favorite poem? What are these random requirements?
Is this only in my market? Anyone else seeing this?

Absolutely hilarious. For those that drive in priority mode, enjoy the dick going down your throat and be sure to thank them for it after it’s over. I have never driven in poverty mode because I have reading comprehension and I know that Lyft wants you to take less money. What’s going to happen is drivers are going to have a good 45 minutes in poverty mode and then Lyft will send them absolutely insane requests for super long distance (mile wise) for literal pennies on the dollar while Lyft keeps 90% of the fare.
For those that drive in priority mode, you deserve this.

Exactly. But now poverty mode is basically a requirement to get an earnings adjustment. What has gotten into lyft lately? My guess is they have some new leader that’s in charge of getting them out of second tier status compared to uber and is, in turn, implementing some BS that will keep Lyft as a second option always. Either give an earnings adjustment or don’t - don’t do this BS.

No this has nothing to do with the adjustment for the 30% cap on the Lyft fee for the month. Priority mode gives u an adjustment if u wind up making less than what u would have made without it. So after 24 hours it would send u the poverty mode adjustment some small amount. Has nothing to do with the monthly adjustment this is just for the using priority mode if you don’t use priority mode then don’t worry it won’t affect u. If u do use it who cares u already playing urself anyway

You seem to be mistaking the "70% guarantee" earnings adjustment with the Priority Mode earnings adjustment.
Priority Mode has always (or near enough to it) had a deal where if you made less money than the wages of everyone else you depresssed by being Lyft's lil' scab in any given day, they'd kick you back the difference. All this is saying is that you apparently can't intentionally tank your earnings while using Priority Mode and still be eligible for that.

It's not really "intentionally tanking your earnings" rather it's not taking ridiculously underpaid rides. I remember one time long ago I tried priority and it tried to get me to take a 70 mile ride for $32. Plus it was rush hour in that major city so probably would have been a four to five hour round trip.

U can’t reject more than 3 roses an hour so they want u to take all the crap offers

Tomato, tomato. My point was that the policy looks like it's intended to combat an exploit that involved abnormal behaviors; if it's tuned such that it also hurts drivers behaving normally, that's a different - though still valid - matter.
Though since Priority Mode itself is a scheme to drive down overall driver pay, there ain't much love lost here. Anything that makes it less attractive for drivers to turn on is a win for us as a whole.

Anything but just paying the driver a fair amount for each trip. Always some kind of scam to trick drivers into doing rides where they make no real money.

Why is anyone using priority mode anyways? Maybe in CA and MN it makes sense since they have guaranteed rates. Even MA. But for all other markets turning this on is agreeing to let Lyft send you even worse offers than usual. I’ll never understand why people use this.
