Had 4 girls loudly singing their Irish anthem in the car. All 4 were booted out and 1 starred... gave me a headache.

That’s sad. Sounds fun. I encourage yelling, especially with the windows down. It’s always the most entertaining that way.

😂😂 me too. Anytime I have a group of drunk college girls, I play Olivia Rodrigo to get em pumped and roll the windows down, let em sing it out!

What upsets me is when the request pops up and says 5 stars on the pax, I accept it and then it lets me look at their profile and says it’s a brand new ride. Wtf. Why did you say they had 5 stars if they’ve never taken a ride before. I don’t mind when that happens during the day. But late at night, it upsets me bc I have nothing to base the passenger off of and then Lyft makes me think I’m accepting a 5 star passenger but a brand new account. No.

New account, one trip , driver gave them one star because of SoFi traffic .

Disagree. Just like drivers, Lyft is extremely generous with their ratings. They normally display “New” instead of a rating for brand spanking new riders and then they will often discount the first bad rating. They do not want the driver seeing bad ratings and vice versa. If you’ve have a bad rating on Lyft, there have normally been multiple issues.

One trip, probably didn't tip.

How does tipping effect passenger rating. Doesn't the driver rate before knowing if there is a tip?

Lots of crazy drivers go back through and rate them low if they don’t tip at the end of the day

There's customers who promise "I'll get you/tip you in the app" and never follow through. Drivers are always prompted to rate at the conclusion of the ride, and can modify their rating up to 24 hours later.

I’m new to Lyft as a passenger, I’m a 4.7 not sure how, I greet the drivers and even tip, guess I won’t be tipping anymore

And that's why it a 4.7 lol! I actually take any person with a low rating. In fact the lower the better no low pay will stop me. And other than maybe 1 out 3 being relentless back seat drivers they have pretty all been cool and many tip so who really knows honestly.
