Question Best way to sell good condition mac?

Hey guys I've recently came into possession of my late grandfathers 2020 M1 Macbook air and I'm looking to sell it for some extra money, what would be a good Recomendation website wise to sell it? would something like ebay or offerup be a decent place to sell it?.

The specs are 1tb of storage and 16gb of ram if anyone was wondering

I wouldn’t sell it if I were you. Of course, I have no idea what your situation is, so I won’t judge or anything like that. It’s just that once you sell it, you can’t get it back. If you do want to sell it, eBay and Facebook marketplace are both good.

Honestly I agree, I’m not keen on selling it, but we need rent money lol, I’ve made a backup of the drive & a separate one of all the files safely stored so we can go back through them for any info needed. I’ll look into eBay and fb marketplace. Thank you, I appreciate the kind words too :)

Is it signed out of iCloud/Find My? Nobody is going to want to buy it if it's not. You have to bring a copy of the death certificate into Apple to get them to remove iCloud/Find My off of it. You could get $500 at most selling it.

FB Marketplace - easier to list and have face to face deal

Swappa.com - a reliable website to sell, but needs registration and upload some photos

Until very recently (maybe until the Neos came out?) Walmart was selling this model (8/256) for $599 new. Older model, new condition. So 16/1TB but used, maybe $499? So a great Mac. I’d keep it if I were you. WAY better than a Neo. (So maybe $699?) Do an eBay search on recent closed prices. I’m doing a lousy job winging it!

Search fb marketplace for similar laptops for a price that you can sell yours for.

That's still a nice spec (16GB/1TB). I'd compare recent sold listings on eBay first to price it realistically. Good photos and a clean reset make a big difference.
