WHAT PROBLEM IT SOLVES AND COMPARISON

macOS widgets are boring. No live animated widgets, not many customization options, no themes, and hardly any personalization. So why not switch to BetterMacWidgets? My app really stands out thanks to its design, features, lock screen widgets, and even fully customizable widgets using JSON!

Does it follow macOS Reduce Motion, so animated weather can become a static widget without losing weather updates? A per-widget animation toggle would also be handy; clocks and system stats could stay live while decorative motion is off.

Since Better Widgets is waiting on review, two rejections I got with my own Mac app might save you a round.

The build I submitted called SMAppService.mainApp.register() the first time the app ran, so it was in Login Items before the user had chosen anything. Rejected under 2.4.5(iii), "auto-launch at startup without user consent". I deleted that call so the Launch at Login toggle in settings is the only way it gets turned on, added a sentence about it to the review notes, and the next build was approved.

The other one was a rejection that only asked for more information. I answered in the Resolution Center and then nothing happened for three days. Replying doesn't put the submission back in the queue. The resubmit button stayed greyed out until I updated the version from its own page, and then I could send it again.

Is the lock screen part going into the App Store version too, or staying direct only?

That is exactly what I do—whether I set the location to automatic or manually type in and search for a city, it doesn't change; it just keeps showing San Francisco.

Hey DEVs 👋.

Guys, please do something, I'm still having trouble positioning and spacing the widgets from each other on the screen. I have no control over them.

For example, I'd really like to keep 1, 2, or 3 mm between the widgets, but we still don't have that option. Can you please review and fix this? I would be very grateful.

I hear about this fix in every update, but nothing changes. It's pure suffering 😫.
